Fanatics Sportsbook has recently launched in Washington, DC, becoming the fifth choice for digital wagering in the nation’s capital. This announcement comes after Caesars Sportsbook revealed that it will take over GambetDC kiosks at 53 small-business locations in the District.
With the DC Council’s decision to open the betting market, companies like Caesars, BetMGM, DraftKings, and FanDuel have been able to expand their platforms beyond limited zones. Fanatics Sportsbook, which is already live in neighboring states, now has a retail sportsbook at Commanders Field.
Fanatics Sportsbook’s partnership with the National Women’s Soccer League’s Washington Spirit marks the company’s first deal with a women’s professional sports team. The platform is available for iOS and Android devices, offering unique opportunities for fans to engage with the brand.
The DC sports betting market has evolved from a single-source model with Intralot to a more competitive landscape. Intralot’s troubled GambetDC product was replaced by FanDuel in April, and the city later decided not to renew its wagering contract with Intralot. FanDuel now has market access through a partnership with Audi Field.
With the addition of Fanatics Sportsbook and the expansion of existing platforms, Washington, DC bettors now have a wider array of choices for digital wagering, creating a more competitive and diverse market in the capital.
