Washington State Athletics has announced that they will be playing Ole Miss in football in 2025. This will be the first meeting between the two programs. WSU Director of Athletics Anne McCoy expressed excitement about the opportunity to face Ole Miss, a school with a rich football history. The addition of Mississippi to the 2025 schedule brings the total number of opponents for WSU’s 2025 schedule to seven, including home games against Idaho, San Diego State, Washington, and Oregon State, as well as away games at Ole Miss, North Texas, and Virginia. It is worth mentioning that the contract to play Ole Miss is exclusively for the 2025 season. The last time the Cougars played an SEC opponent was in 2023 when they faced Auburn.
