Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz will have their first joint interview with CNN since launching their campaign. The interview will be conducted by Dana Bash and will air on Thursday at 9 p.m. ET. Harris had previously mentioned her intent to do an interview before the end of August, facing pressure to answer questions about her candidacy. Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance has been critical of Harris for not sitting down with journalists, questioning why she refuses to answer media questions. Former President Donald Trump and Vance have both done multiple media interviews since the Republican National Convention. This interview comes at a time when Harris is under scrutiny for not engaging with the press, and will provide an opportunity for the public to hear directly from her and Walz on their campaign and plans for the future.
