A Fairfax County instructional assistant, David Scalea, was arrested for allegedly masturbating in front of students at Langley High School in McLean. The incident occurred on October 11, when a student saw Scalea inappropriately touching himself under his desk. Police charged him with obscene sexual display and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The student quickly reported the incident to school administration, and no students were physically harmed. Scalea was arrested the same day and placed on administrative leave. He has been working at Fairfax County Public Schools since 2020. Scalea is currently held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. Detectives are asking anyone with additional information to come forward by contacting them at 703-246-7800 or submitting an anonymous tip online. The School Resource Officer and the Fairfax County Police Department are investigating the case further to ensure the safety and well-being of the students at Langley High School. The school district has not released a statement regarding the incident.
