Anderson appointed as the new Assistant Principal at Washington Middle School | Latest Updates on News, Sports, and Job Listings


The Jamestown Public Schools Board of Education has appointed Tim Anderson as the assistant principal on a long-term substitute basis at Washington Middle School. Anderson, a Jamestown native and 16-year JPS staff member, brings a wealth of experience to the role. He has served as a teacher at various schools in the district and currently teaches fourth grade at C.C. Ring Elementary School. Anderson, who holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree, is completing his administrative coursework at SUNY Fredonia.

Apart from his teaching experience, Anderson has also coached basketball for 17 years, including leading the JHS girls varsity basketball program. He resides in Jamestown with his wife and children. Excited about his new role, Anderson looks forward to building relationships with the school community and making a positive impact on students’ academic, social, and emotional development.

Tina Sandstrom, assistant superintendent, expressed the district’s enthusiasm for having Anderson join Washington Middle School, highlighting his dedication to the students, staff, and families. Anderson is determined to work collaboratively with the school community to achieve academic excellence and support the growth of students at Washington Middle School. As a lifelong resident of Jamestown, he is passionate about the community’s potential and the success of its youth.
