Commanders suspend employee following release of undercover video showing disparaging comments about players and fans

The Washington Commanders have suspended an employee after he was captured in undercover video making derogatory comments about players and fans. In the video, Vice president of content Rael Enteen referred to players as dumb and homophobic, while insulting fans. The team stated that the language used in the video goes against their values and an internal investigation is underway.

The videos were taken in June in Washington and posted by O’Keefe Media Group. Enteen also criticized NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, calling Goodell a puppet and questioning Jones’ attitudes towards gay and Black people. The league and the Cowboys have not yet responded to requests for comment.

James O’Keefe, who founded the media group, stated that the videos were filmed during two separate dates and claimed that Enteen and the woman filming had met on a dating app. Further details and comments from the Commanders organization are pending as the investigation unfolds.

This incident raises concerns about the conduct of team employees and their attitudes towards players and fans. The Commanders will need to address these issues and take appropriate action to maintain their values and reputation. Stay tuned for updates on the situation as it develops.
