Five Teens Arrested After Stolen Vehicle Crash in Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. – A group of five teenagers was arrested and four stolen vehicles recovered following a crash in Montgomery County on Tuesday evening.

At approximately 7:30 p.m., police responded to the intersection of Heathfield Drive and Parkland Drive after receiving reports of a collision. Upon arrival, officers discovered three vehicles—one Kia and two Hyundais—idling and unoccupied. Subsequent investigations revealed that all three cars were reported stolen.

Witnesses observed a dark-colored Kia departing the scene at a high speed, carrying multiple passengers. The vehicle later stopped on Weller Road, where the five teens, aged 13 to 15, exited the car. Authorities determined that this Kia was also stolen.

The teens—a 13-year-old, three 14-year-olds, and a 15-year-old—were taken into custody and charged with possession of a stolen vehicle. After processing, they were released into the custody of their guardians.

Montgomery County Department of Police reported the incident, emphasizing ongoing efforts to address vehicle theft within the community. As investigations continue, local officials stress the importance of vigilance among residents to prevent such crimes.
