Ariana Grande Joins Star-Studded Cast for New "Meet the Parents" Sequel

In an exciting casting announcement, Ariana Grande is set to join Hollywood heavyweights Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller in the upcoming sequel to the beloved comedy franchise, "Meet the Parents." This marks Grande’s return to the big screen as she steps into a new character alongside longtime cast members Blythe Danner and Teri Polo, who will reprise their roles in this fourth installment of the franchise.

While specifics about Grande’s character remain under wraps, the film is being directed by John Hamburg, who co-wrote the original 2000 film "Meet the Parents" as well as its sequels, "Meet the Fockers" and "Little Fockers." He takes the reins from Jay Roach, who directed the first two films, and Paul Weitz, who directed the third.

Although the title and plot details are still undisclosed, fans can look forward to the film’s release on November 26, 2026. This sequel arrives nearly 15 years after the last installment, "Little Fockers," hit theaters in December 2010.

Stiller, who plays Greg Focker, has expressed his excitement about reuniting with De Niro, stating, "I think everybody wants to make it happen." He commented on the nostalgia of their dynamic, recalling that he is now the same age De Niro was during their initial collaboration.

Ariana Grande, who has been largely focused on her music career in recent years, shared her enthusiasm for returning to acting, emphasizing her love for comedy and musical theater, which she describes as therapeutic. With this new venture, fans can eagerly anticipate what Grande will bring to this iconic film series.

This announcement comes as part of the ongoing collaboration between E! and Universal Pictures, both of which belong to the NBCUniversal family.
