D.C. Police Investigate Allegations of Sexual Assault in Ambulance
Washington, D.C. – D.C. police are currently investigating a disturbing claim made by a woman who alleges she was sexually assaulted while being transported in a private ambulance to Cedar Hill Hospital. The incident reportedly occurred Saturday morning after the woman experienced a medical emergency at home.
Speaking exclusively to FOX 5 DC, the unnamed victim recounted her traumatic experience. She described being semi-conscious initially but fully aware by the time the alleged assault occurred. According to her, a male employee of AMR, the ambulance service, removed her pants and took two inappropriate photos. Despite a female driver being at the wheel and a D.C. police cruiser following closely behind, the victim felt her trust was betrayed.
"I went to cover it back up and he removed it again and took two pictures," she recalled, expressing her disbelief. After confronting the male employee, she attempted to retrieve his phone but saw him delete the images right before her eyes.
The victim, wishing to remain anonymous, hopes that sharing her story will encourage other potential victims to come forward. "There’s no telling how many other females he may have done this to who didn’t come out of being unconscious," she stated.
AMR responded with a statement, emphasizing the seriousness of misconduct allegations and confirming that the employee involved has been placed on leave as the investigation unfolds. D.C. police have confirmed that the investigation is active but have not made any arrests at this time.
The case raises significant concerns about the safety of patients in emergency services and the need for immediate transparency in such investigations.
