An Amtrak train collided with a pickup truck in Prince William County, causing service disruptions for hours on Tuesday morning. The southbound train, carrying 137 passengers and crew, hit the truck at a crossing near Bristow Road. The driver of the truck was the only person in the vehicle and had to be rescued from the wreckage. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported on the train. The driver’s son, Xavier Parks, shared that his father was in pain but doing okay. Crews worked to repair the damaged train using a blowtorch after the collision.
