A D.C. man, Vincent Atchison, has been arrested for assaulting and stealing a woman’s vehicle in February. Atchison, 58, approached the victim at 8 a.m. and assaulted her as she tried to enter her car, eventually fleeing with the victim’s keys and vehicle. The victim only suffered minor injuries and the car was recovered the next day. Atchison has been charged with carjacking. The arrest was made in the Glover Park neighborhood of Northwest, D.C. The Metropolitan Police Department provided information for this report. The incident highlights the ongoing issue of car theft and assault in the area.
