Police charge Maryland teenager after discovering recording device in UMD bathroom


Nineteen-year-old Noah Michael White from Belcamp, Maryland has been charged after a portable recording device was discovered inside a single-use bathroom at a residence hall at the University of Maryland. He is facing charges including visual surveillance of a private place with prurient intent, peeping tom, and visual surveillance of a private area.

The incident took place at Johnson-Whittle Hall in College Park on March 11, with the University of Maryland Police Department responding after a resident reported finding the recording device inside the bathroom. White turned himself in to authorities in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
