Man from Maryland arrested for possessing homemade explosive device and ammunition


A Maryland man, Robert Criss, has been charged with possessing an explosive device and illegal possession of ammunition in Prince George’s County. The 43-year-old was found in possession of a homemade pipe bomb and ammunition in a storage unit on Suitland Road. The Prince George’s County Police and Fire Marshal Bomb Squad responded to the call and safely neutralized the device. Criss, who is prohibited from possessing ammunition due to a previous criminal conviction, is being held on no-bond. Police also found ballistic-resistant body armor in the storage unit.
