Planning an adventure for next year? National Park Service announces 2025 schedule for ‘free entrance days’

The National Park Service has announced the dates for free entrance days in 2025, allowing visitors to enter parks without paying a fee on select holidays and special occasions. These free entrance days make it easier for families, friends, and solo adventurers to explore the parks and connect with nature. About 100 of the 430 national parks charge a fee for entry, so these days provide an opportunity for everyone to enjoy the parks. The free entrance days for 2025 are: Jan. 20 (Martin Luther King Jr. Day), April 19 (First Day of National Park Week), June 19 (Juneteenth National Independence Day), Aug. 4 (Great American Outdoors Act Signing Day), Sept. 27 (National Public Lands Day), and Nov. 11 (Veterans Day). Visitors can find more information about the parks and their locations on the National Park Service website. Stay updated on the latest news and headlines by signing up for email alerts.
