Officials in Virginia issued an Amber Alert for the abduction of three children who were taken while waiting for a school bus. The children, Ja’Liyah Lewis, Ja’Miya Lewis, and Jai’Marcus Lewis, were seized outside an apartment complex in Fishersville by their biological mother, Shanice Chante Davison. Authorities believe the children are in “extreme danger” and that Davison is taking them to Alabama, where she lives. The children were possibly picked up in a black Nissan Sentra with an unknown tag.
Davison is described as a 55-year-old Black woman who is five-feet, six-inches tall and weighs about 185 pounds. Anyone with information about the missing children is urged to contact the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office or make an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers. Authorities advise people not to approach Davison or the children if spotted, but to instead contact local law enforcement.
The safety and well-being of the children is a top priority, and law enforcement agencies are working together across state lines to locate them. The children were last seen wearing pink and dark blue jackets, and Davison is believed to no longer be in Virginia. The story was updated for clarity, and anyone with information or sightings of Davison or the children is encouraged to reach out to the appropriate authorities.
