The FBI is investigating sightings of large drones flying over central New Jersey along the Raritan River. Witnesses have reported clusters of drones and a possible fixed-wing aircraft in the area. The Federal Aviation Administration has issued a temporary flight restriction banning drone flights over Trump National Golf Club and the Picatinny Arsenal military facility. Despite the sightings, officials say there is no immediate threat to public safety. Morris County Sheriff James Gannon assured the public that law enforcement agencies are actively investigating the drone activity. Residents, however, have been spooked by the sightings, with one witness, Jonelle Ferentinos, reporting multiple sightings of drones during her nightly dog walks. Similarly, Fernando Cervantes Jr., a reporter, and William Westhoven, a local reporter, have been tracking and reporting on the drone sightings in the area. The FBI, along with the New Jersey State Police and the State Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness, are asking for information related to the recent drone sightings. The exact location of the sightings along the 70-mile Raritan River has not been disclosed, but the investigations are ongoing to determine the source and purpose of the drone activity.
