Actresses Andrea Barber and Jodie Sweetin, known for their roles on the iconic 90s show Full House, recently reminisced on a behind-the-scenes fashion debate from an episode in season 3. The episode, titled “Just Say No Way,” aired on March 30, 1990, and featured Candace Cameron Bure, who played DJ Tanner, in an all black outfit with big hair. The actresses discussed the fashion choices made by Cameron Bure, who preferred a pantsuit outfit over a dress that producers wanted her to wear. Both Sweetin and Barber praised the outfit as “very stylish” and noted the influence of Janet Jackson’s style on Cameron Bure’s look.
Full House was a major phenomenon in the sitcom world, running from 1987 to 1995, before being rebooted as Fuller House on Netflix from 2016 to 2020. The original cast, including Sweetin, Barber, Bob Saget, Dave Coulier, Lori Loughlin, John Stamos, and the Olson twins, returned for the reboot. However, the Olson twins did not return. Cameron Bure is currently starring in two new Christmas movies from Great American Family, with one premiering in November and the other in December. The reminiscing of the Full House fashion debate provides fans with an inside look at the style choices made by the actresses during the show’s heyday.
