Three people were killed in Piedmont, California after the Tesla Cybertruck they were in crashed into a tree and retaining wall. The crash occurred around 3:08 a.m. and the Cybertruck caught fire and burned completely. One of the occupants was extracted from the vehicle and taken to the hospital in critical condition while the other three were pronounced dead at the scene. The deceased were identified as college students home for the holidays. The police chief described the incident as a tragic loss of life. The cause of the collision is still unknown, but the police believe that the vehicle’s speed may have been a contributing factor. The police are also investigating the possibility of drugs or alcohol playing a role in the crash. The Cybertruck’s battery did not explode or burst into flames, according to the Piedmont Police Department. The crash is currently under investigation by the local authorities.
