Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are both returning to battleground states this weekend to campaign and help “Get Out the Vote” ahead of Election Day on Nov. 5. The presidential race remains tight in key states such as Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Arizona.
Former first lady Michelle Obama will join the Democratic presidential candidate in Michigan for a Get Out the Vote rally, marking the first event on the campaign trail for the Harris-Walz ticket. Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, Harris’ running mate, will campaign in Las Vegas, New Mexico, and Arizona. Harris also plans to travel to Philadelphia and Ann Arbor, Michigan, with singer-songwriter Maggie Rogers.
Harris will give a speech on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., just one week before the election in an effort to sway last-minute voters. The campaign expects a large turnout for the event. This weekend’s campaign events mark a final push from both candidates to secure support in battleground states that could swing either way.
