Star power is expected to be in abundance at Yankee Stadium for Game 1 of the American League Championship Series with Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce rumored to be in attendance. Yankees manager Aaron Boone mentioned hearing about the celebrity couple attending the game, which was later confirmed by MLB.com’s Bryan Hoch.
Swift, a seasoned MLB performer, sang the national anthem during the 2008 postseason. On the other hand, Kelce, a Kansas City Chiefs player, will be enjoying his team’s bye week before their upcoming game against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 7.
The Yankees and Guardians both earned top seeds in the AL, with New York taking down the Kansas City Royals and Cleveland eliminating the Detroit Tigers to secure their spots in the ALCS. Game 1 is set to start at 7:38 p.m. ET/4:38 p.m. PT, promising an exciting matchup between the two top-seeded teams. The presence of Swift and Kelce adds an extra layer of glamour to an already highly anticipated game.
