Texas A&M Commerce secured their first win of the season with a 42-21 victory over Northwestern State. Ron Peace played a critical role in the win, accounting for four touchdowns. Peace threw two touchdown passes to Christian Jourdain, had a 34-yard touchdown run, and threw a 22-yard touchdown pass to Jordon Hamilton. He finished with 275 yards passing and 31 yards rushing. BK Jackson also contributed with a touchdown run and 62 yards rushing for the Lions. Northwestern State’s Kennieth Lacy ran for 43 yards and two touchdowns, while Abram Johnston threw for 301 yards with two interceptions. Despite a late touchdown pass to Amaaz Eugene, Northwestern State couldn’t overcome the Lions’ lead.
