Man from Las Vegas apprehended with loaded weapon at Trump rally near Coachella

A Las Vegas man, Vem Miller, was charged with possession of a loaded firearm and a high-capacity magazine after being stopped by deputies at a rally by former President Donald Trump in southern California’s Coachella Valley. Miller was approached by deputies at a checkpoint and found with a shotgun, a loaded handgun, and a high-capacity magazine. He was arrested and booked at the John J. Benoit Detention Center in Indio. Despite the incident, the safety of former President Trump and rally attendees was not impacted. No additional information was provided regarding why Miller had the weapons or his intentions for being at the rally. Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact Deputy Coronado at the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station. Trump spoke at the event in Riverside County without any issues arising from Miller’s arrest.
