A 17-year-old teen from Washington D.C., Jordan Grice, has been arrested and charged as an adult for two armed carjackings in the Northwest area of the city. The incidents took place on August 16, 2024, and August 17, 2024, where victims were ordered out of their cars at gunpoint and two suspects drove off with the vehicles.
Grice has been charged with two counts of armed carjacking under Title 16 of the DC Superior Court custody. The first incident occurred on the 1700 block of 10th Street, Northwest, at around 11:00 p.m., while the second incident took place on the 1100 block of 6th Street, Northwest, at approximately 1:00 a.m. The victims in both cases reported having firearms pointed at them before the suspects drove off with their cars.
The arrest of Grice highlights the issue of carjackings in the city, which have been on the rise in recent years. Police are urging residents to be vigilant and take precautions to protect themselves and their vehicles.
