Arlington man faces charges of DUI and involuntary manslaughter following deadly collision resulting in 1 fatality


An 18-year-old suspect has been arrested and charged with DUI/involuntary manslaughter after a single-vehicle crash in Arlington County that left one person dead. The suspect, identified as Brooks Bare, was driving northbound on North Harrison Street when he struck several parked cars, causing his vehicle to overturn. The passenger, identified as 19-year-old Nicholas Rados, was pronounced dead at the hospital. At the time of the crash, there were five people in the vehicle, with one passenger sustaining minor injuries and being discharged from the hospital. Bare is currently being held without bond at the Arlington County Detention Facility. Police believe alcohol was a factor in the accident, and Bare has also been charged with breath/blood test refusal. The incident occurred at around 1:58 a.m. on Saturday morning in the 2200 block of N. Harrison Street. Medics responded to the scene and provided aid to the injured parties. This is a tragic incident that has resulted in the loss of a young life, and Arlington County police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
