Police in Prince George’s County, Maryland are investigating a shooting that occurred inside a Foot Locker near The Shops at Iverson late Thursday afternoon. The incident resulted in the death of 24-year-old Dominique Hodge of Washington, D.C. Two suspects, 19-year-old Andres Rodriguez-Corona and 22-year-old Carl Sanders, have been arrested in connection with the murder, but a third suspect is still at large. The suspects allegedly targeted the victim inside the store, and the motive for the shooting is still under investigation.
The victim was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. No other customers or employees were injured in the incident. Police were able to apprehend Rodriguez-Corona after he attempted to flee from the scene, and a handgun was recovered from him. Sanders was later located and arrested following a traffic stop, during which two ghost guns with missing serial numbers were found in his vehicle.
Rodriguez-Corona is facing charges of first and second degree murder, while Sanders is charged with multiple firearms offenses. Both suspects are currently in custody. Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the third suspect involved in the shooting. Anyone with information is urged to contact the authorities.
