Former President Donald Trump reportedly sent coronavirus testing devices to Russian President Vladimir Putin during the height of the pandemic, as claimed by the Kremlin. This revelation came in Bob Woodward’s new book “War” which delves into the relationships between Trump, President Joe Biden, and foreign leaders.
The book also raises questions about how Trump would handle the war in Ukraine if re-elected and whether he would continue to provide aid to the country. Trump has repeatedly claimed he could settle the conflict between Russia and Ukraine in one day if re-elected, although Russia’s ambassador to the UN has dismissed this assertion.
Critics have long criticized Trump for his favorable stance towards authoritarian leaders like Putin. Trump has described Putin as “savvy” and praised Russia’s invasion of Ukraine as “genius.”
The Kremlin has confirmed the exchange of testing equipment between the two presidents, but denied Woodward’s claim that Trump and Putin have spoken several times since Trump left office.
Trump and his re-election team have both dismissed Woodward’s reporting as biased and untrue. The book is set to be published on October 15th, and will likely shed more light on the interactions between Trump, Putin, and other world leaders.
