Jenna Lyons is returning to The Real Housewives of New York City for the show’s 15th season after initially thinking she wouldn’t be back. The 56-year-old former J.Crew creative director first appeared on the show in the revamped 14th season alongside other new cast members. Despite some challenges during her first season, Jenna decided to return after learning that Racquel Chevremont and Rebecca Minkoff would be joining the cast, which she believed would shift the dynamic in a positive way.
During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Jenna revealed that being the oldest cast member by 15 years was a challenge for her but having another gay woman like Racquel in the mix helped her feel more comfortable. Jenna admitted that she didn’t realize how hard it would be to be a full-time Housewife, but ultimately enjoyed the experience and appreciated the loyalty and passion from fans.
Jenna became a breakout star during her first season on RHONY, surprising herself with her popularity. Despite initially thinking she would be forgotten among the bigger personalities, Jenna’s unique style, private relationship with her now-fiancée, and wearing jeans to the reunion made her stand out in the Bravo universe.
