DaMarion Fowlkes of Good Counsel High School showcased his skills as a special teams superstar, helping his team secure a victory against Stone Bridge with a score of 48-10. Fowlkes received the Military Bowl DC Touchdown Club High School Football Player of the Week award for his outstanding performance. Throughout the game, Fowlkes made several impressive plays, including returning an opening kickoff for a touchdown and adding two more punt return scores. Despite a penalty negating a fourth potential touchdown, Fowlkes impressed his coach with his determination and ability to break tackles. Fowlkes, who also competes in track and field, is praised for his speed and ability to find openings in the defense. The coach also noted Fowlkes’ patience and strategic play on the field.
Other standout players recognized on the DC Touchdown Club Player of the Week Honor Roll include Kamryn Henry, Isaiah Parker, Amir Short, Tyler Bell, Tyler Kann, Khalil Wilson, Dominic Knicely, Glen Vinson III, Tyler Knutson, Ubie Zaid, and Evan Blouir for their contributions to their respective teams’ victories. These players showcased exceptional skills in various positions such as running back, quarterback, wide receiver, and defensive back. Additionally, Evan Blouir’s game-winning touchdown pass in the final moments of the game was a highlight of the week.
