The Orioles closed in within five games of the AL East-leading Yankees, with the potential to finish atop the division depending on the remaining games. The Orioles had lost seven out of their previous 10 games prior to this decisive victory.

The win was secured by Seranthony Domínguez, the Orioles’ seventh pitcher, who got two outs for his 11th save in 13 chances. The Orioles also welcomed back 1B Ryan Mountcastle from the injured list.
Looking ahead, the Yankees are set to face the Baltimore Orioles in their upcoming games, with the Orioles aiming to continue their momentum and secure a division win. The win against the Yankees on Tuesday night was a significant accomplishment for the Orioles as they head into the postseason.
