Buffalo Bills Dominant in Rout of Jacksonville Jaguars
On Monday night, Josh Allen led the Buffalo Bills to a commanding 47-10 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Allen threw four touchdowns in the first half alone, completing 22 of 28 passes for 247 yards before being relieved by Mitchell Trubisky. The Bills scored on each of their first five drives, with Allen connecting on scoring strikes to four different receivers.
Buffalo’s defense was equally impressive, limiting the Jaguars to just 70 yards and five first downs in the first half. Safety Damar Hamlin, who had suffered a cardiac arrest 21 months prior, notched his first career interception off of Trevor Lawrence.
The game was essentially over by halftime, with Allen delivering a 16-yard touchdown pass to Ty Johnson just before the break. The Bills improved to 7-4 following the win.
In the other Monday night matchup, the Washington Commanders upset the Cincinnati Bengals 38-33. Rookie Jayden Daniels threw for two touchdowns and ran for another, setting an NFL rookie record for completion percentage at 91.3%. The Commanders have yet to punt or turn the ball over in their last two games.
Joe Burrow threw for a season-best 324 yards and three scores for the Bengals, but it was not enough to overcome the Commanders. Cincinnati falls to 0-3 on the season.
The Commanders will face the Arizona Cardinals next, while the Bengals look to secure their first win against the Carolina Panthers. The Dallas Cowboys will take on the New York Giants to kick off Week Four on Thursday night.
