Artem Chigvintsev, a former “Dancing with the Stars” pro, will not face criminal charges following his arrest for suspected domestic violence. The news was announced by the Napa County District Attorney’s Office who cited a lack of evidence to support the charges. Chigvintsev was arrested just days after celebrating his second wedding anniversary with his wife, Nikki Bella, who later filed for divorce. The pair had a seemingly happy relationship on the surface, but reports suggest that it had been volatile for years. Chigvintsev called 911 after an argument with Bella, during which she allegedly threw a shoe at him. He was taken into custody by sheriff’s deputies and later released on bail.
Following the arrest, Bella filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences and seeking full custody of their son, Matteo. Chigvintsev responded with a request for joint custody and spousal support. The couple met when Bella competed on “Dancing with the Stars” in 2017, while she was still dating John Cena. They split in 2018, and Bella began a relationship with Chigvintsev. The Post has reached out to both parties for comment on the situation.
