Devin Cox from Westlake Named Player of the Week


Westlake High School running back Devin Cox has been recognized as the Military Bowl DC Touchdown Club High School Football Player of the Week. In his season opener against Northern, Cox rushed for 282 yards and four touchdowns, in addition to returning a kickoff for another score. Coach DaLawn Parrish commended Cox for his determination and leadership on the field. Cox’s exceptional performance earned him the Player of the Week honor.
Parrish, who previously led Wise High to six Maryland 4A titles, described Cox as a standout player who always strives for success. Despite only being a first-year coach at Westlake, Parrish recognized Cox’s talent early on and was impressed by his dedication to the game. Cox’s standout plays and leadership qualities have made him a key player for Westlake.
