Arlington Police responded to reports of a possible shooting at Pentagon City Mall on Sunday afternoon, only to discover that it was a robbery that caused the commotion. Three Black male suspects armed with hammers smashed a glass case at a store in the mall and fled the scene, setting off a fire extinguisher in the process. Despite initial reports of shots being fired, police later confirmed that no shots had been discharged during the incident.
No injuries were reported as a result of the robbery, and police remained on the scene to investigate the circumstances of the incident. The suspects are described as teenagers wearing all black clothing. Arlington Police are still investigating the robbery and are asking anyone with information to contact their Tip Line.
This incident comes just days after a man and a woman were taken into custody after attempting to flee the Pentagon City Mall in a stolen car. Video footage captured the moment when the suspects were cornered and arrested by Arlington Police outside of the mall. The stolen car incident highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to maintain safety and security in the area.
