New photo evidence has been released in the case of Mamta Kafle Bhatt’s disappearance. Naresh Bhatt, her husband, remains in jail on a charge of concealing a dead body, as he is accused of killing her. The evidence includes blood stains found in their home in Manassas Park, Virginia.
The search for Mamta Kafle is described as promising by Police Chief Mario Lugo, who mentioned that new leads and tips have emerged in the investigation. Progress is being made, with additional evidence being located. Mamta’s mother and brother have arrived in the U.S. and are with their 1-year-old granddaughter, Neema, who is Mamta and Naresh’s daughter.
Naresh Bhatt recently appeared in court and decided to waive his right to a preliminary hearing. Despite the pain and suffering of Mamta’s family and friends, they remember her as a loving wife, mother, and nurse. They have been attending court proceedings and have referred to Naresh as a “master manipulator.”
The case is now headed to the Grand Jury of Prince William County and will be heard on October 8th at 10 a.m. The investigation is ongoing as more evidence is being gathered, and the search for Mamta continues in hopes of finding answers and bringing justice for her.
