Former Real Housewives of Orange County star Meghan King recently opened up about her son Hart’s new mood disorder diagnosis while living with cerebral palsy. King shared with Us Weekly that her son’s needs fall under the neurodivergent category, and she has been working to find a diagnosis to better articulate his needs for proper care. King is using the proceeds from her new activewear line with SewSewYou, called Harty, to support her son’s care amid his new diagnosis.
King emphasized the importance of bringing awareness to psychiatric diagnoses in children and breaking the stigma surrounding mental health in kids. She explained that by discussing these issues openly, she hopes to help other parents who are navigating similar challenges with their children. The Harty Collection, designed by King and featuring sustainable activewear pieces, will help provide the necessary funds for Hart’s therapies.
Despite facing new challenges alongside her son’s cerebral palsy, King remains optimistic about their journey. She emphasized the importance of therapy and support for Hart’s mental health and is determined to provide him with the care he needs. The Harty Collection, priced from $45 to $62, is available for purchase on SewSewYou.com until September 3. The proceeds will go towards supporting Hart’s treatments and therapies.
