Police detectives in Washington are investigating how a 2-year-old child, Amiri Royal Bynum, came into contact with Fentanyl and methamphetamine, substances that led to his death in May. The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking information from the public to identify those responsible for supplying these drugs to the toddler, who was found unresponsive in a Northwest apartment building and later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. The D.C. Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled Amiri’s death a homicide due to intoxication, prompting a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individuals involved. In a press release, the MPD expressed their commitment to bringing justice for Amiri Royal Bynum and are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward.
