Andy Reid, Chiefs Head Coach, Comments on New NBC In-Game Interviews: ‘I’ll do it, but don’t get your hopes up’

Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid will be participating in the new in-game interview that NBC will conduct during their season-opener against the Ravens, although he expressed his lack of enthusiasm for it. Reid, a company guy, acknowledged that he has to do it but warned not to expect much from him. With an impressive career record of 258 wins, Reid is focused on leading his team to a historic third consecutive Super Bowl victory this season.

NBC is introducing expanded access for viewers this season, including in-game interviews with coaches and players in full uniform. They will also be the first to broadcast an NFL game in Brazil, as well as providing locker room access after games. NBC’s Sunday Night Football slate will kick off with a rematch between the Rams and Lions after the Packers and Eagles play exclusively on Peacock.

NBC’s coordinating producer Rob Hyland highlighted the network’s commitment to providing a unique viewing experience for fans, taking them behind the scenes with interviews and access to players and coaches. Former players and commentators Todd Blackledge and Cris Collinsworth will provide insight and analysis during the games.

Overall, NBC is focused on bringing the excitement of NFL games to viewers in new and engaging ways, starting with the season opener between the Chiefs and Ravens. With their innovative approach to coverage, NBC aims to offer fans an unparalleled viewing experience throughout the season.
