Taylor Swift dominates the MTV Video Music Award nominations with 10 nods, including artist of the year and best pop categories. Her collaboration with Post Malone on “Fortnight” has earned them both eight nominations, while Post Malone also received a ninth nomination for his country hit “I Had Some Help.” Last year, Swift won nine VMAs, bringing her total to 23, just behind BeyoncĂ©’s 28 and ahead of Madonna and Lady Gaga.
The 2024 VMAs will air live on September 10th, with Jamie Lee Curtis and Kelly opening up about their firsts in life. This year features 29 first-time nominees, including Wallen, Carpenter, Benson Boone, and Tyla. The awards ceremony will be held at the UBS Arena on New York’s Long Island, with fan voting across 15 gender-neutral categories until August 30th.
Nominees include Ariana Grande, Eminem, SZA, Blackpink’s LISA, Olivia Rodrigo, and Teddy Swims among others. Categories range from Video of the Year to Best K-Pop and Afrobeats, with artists like Billie Eilish, Drake, Anitta, and Usher making the list.
The VMAs will also feature the Best Collaboration, MTV Push Performance of the Year, and awards for categories like Best Alternative, Rock, R&B, Latin, and Visual Effects. With a diverse range of nominees, the 2024 MTV VMAs promise to be a celebration of music and talent across genres.
