Blake Lively Rocks Iconic Britney Spears Dress at ‘It Ends With Us’ Premiere

Actress Blake Lively stole the show at the New York premiere of her latest film, It Ends With Us, paying tribute to Britney Spears by wearing the iconic Versace butterfly dress originally worn by the pop star in 2002. Joined by her husband Ryan Reynolds, Lively acknowledged Spears’ influence on millennials through an Instagram post and confirmed that the dress belonged to the pop star. Reynolds also had fun with his ensemble, wearing an olive green suit as a nod to Lively’s onscreen character in the film.
The couple’s red carpet appearance marks just one of Lively’s many stunning floral ensembles as she continues her press tour for the film. Lively’s character in the movie is a florist, inspiring her to wear vibrant frocks, floral purses, and beaded ensembles to channel her character while promoting the film. Lively has previously channeled her character Lady Deadpool by wearing a skintight ruby red bodysuit at an event for the Deadpool & Wolverine premiere.
It Ends With Us, based on Colleen Hoover’s novel, includes a tribute to Britney Spears through the inclusion of her song “Everytime.” The film is set to hit theaters on August 9, and Lively’s dazzling red carpet looks are already attracting attention and appreciation from fans and fashion enthusiasts alike.
