The 2024 Paris Olympic Games are set to kick off on July 26 and run until August 11, followed by the Paralympic Games from August 28 to September 8. Paris is emphasizing its plans to utilize the Seine River as a central venue for events and elements of the Opening Ceremony during the Games. The Washington Post is sending a team of 27 journalists from various departments such as Sports, Well+Being, Features, International, Photo, Audio, Video, and Graphics to cover the Games on the ground. This coverage will mark the debut of the newspaper’s Audio section, featuring a new podcast called The Sports Moment: Olympics Edition. The Washington Post’s headquarters in the U.S. is 3,828 miles away from the Olympic Stadium in Saint-Denis.
