Gujarat ATS recently busted a drug manufacturing unit near Surat, leading to the arrest of three individuals who were manufacturing mephedrone in an industrial shed. In Muzaffarnagar, concerns have been raised about a police order that could potentially create communal divides during the upcoming Kanwar Yatra. Additionally, the Punjab Police arrested a member of a terror module backed by the BKI in Amritsar. The terror module was being operated by US-based wanted terrorist Harpreet Singh, alias Happy Passian, with connections to designated terrorist Harwinder Singh, also known as Rinda.
Tragedy struck when the Chandigarh-Dibrugarh Express derailed in Uttar Pradesh, resulting in at least 2 deaths and 7 injuries. In Shahjahanpur, a wanted criminal was gunned down by the STF, and the ED raided Haryana Congress MLA Rao Dan Singh in connection with a bank loan fraud case.
In other news, DK Shivakumar, the DCM of Karnataka, announced that future metro lines would follow a double-decker flyover design to address challenges in land acquisition and traffic congestion. The AAP declared that they would contest all 90 assembly seats in Haryana independently.
