Biden to appear on ABC tonight

President Joe Biden is set to have a televised interview with George Stephanopoulos on ABC News as his campaign works to recover from a disastrous debate with former President Donald Trump. This will be Biden’s second interview with Stephanopoulos since taking office and he has faced criticism for holding the fewest press conferences and media interviews by a president in over 40 years. Biden, who has struggled with a speech impediment, is looking to redeem himself after stumbling during the debate. His past television appearances include interviews with Erin Burnett on CNN, Howard Stern on SiriusXM, Jonathan Capehart on MSNBC, and Seth Meyers on Late Night. He has also been interviewed by Scott Pelley on 60 Minutes and Nicole Wallace on MSNBC among others. Biden has faced questions about his age and mental focus, including issues like gun violence and the Supreme Court. Some of his responses, like a jumbled one about his age during an interview with Pelley, have been used to mock him. The upcoming interview with Stephanopoulos will give Biden a chance to address these issues and update the public on his administration’s progress in the first few months after taking office.
